Brothers and Sisters, My name is Christina (“Tina”) Chapman, and I am running unopposed for Recording Secretary. First and foremost, thank you for the opportunity to represent all of you who make up our local. I am truly honored and proud to be a part of the Executive Board.
I would also like to congratulate our new Maintenance Craft Director, Cameron Taylor. Cameron is also running unopposed. As part of our team, Cameron is instrumental in his role and is already making a positive impact as an excellent steward for maintenance, as well as clerks.
It’s no secret, we are facing challenging times as postal employees. Our fight is tougher, longer and more important than ever. We are committed to this fight. We will continue to fight against harassment by management, better/safer working conditions, fair wages, dignity and respect in the workplace. We will continue to fight to enforce our contract and to hold abusive management accountable.
We are committed to strengthening our membership, through transparency, participation, input, etc… Training and safety are major areas of focus for our local moving forward. I ask for your support along with our team who are committed to bringing about positive change for all.
Please vote for our team: Xaviare Reed for President, Rick Farrell for Vice-President, Brenda Hudson for Clerk Craft Director and Tammy Savage for Secretary Treasurer.
In closing, I look forward to this new chapter of our local, along with stepping into the role of Recording Secretary. I hope to see you at the meetings, meet you on the floor whether it be at the Plant or a station.
